02 / Method
How we do it
We collect data on tablets or phones, never on paper. Skip logic, range checks and consistency checks run inside the form, so many errors are stopped before they are made.
During fieldwork we review incoming data every day. High-frequency checks flag outliers, missing data and unusual interview lengths, and supervisors follow up with the team the same day. A share of interviews is revisited through back-checks to confirm they took place and were recorded accurately.
After fieldwork, we clean and document the data, apply sampling weights, and report estimates with their standard errors, so you know how precise each figure is.
